According to the ATF are black powder guns considered fire arms?

I have heard that the were not. Does this include black powder revolvers also? Can they be carried concealed?According to the ATF are black powder guns considered fire arms?
It really depends on the velocity and caliber of the bullet. Technically they are considered firearms and fall under the same laws and regulations the states make concerning concealment. The propellant, in this case black powder, makes no difference.

The difference is how they can be manufactured, traded and sold that determines the ';class'; of the firearm. The concealment question is best answered by your state's law.According to the ATF are black powder guns considered fire arms?
Either way...Forget carrying..

A ball and cap is about as an unreliable piece you could get and it would only get you in trouble...

A little moisture and the da*m thing wont fire....It might not fire anyway....

Why do you think they were discarded when sealed percussion rounds were invented?

You would be better off with pepper spray or a taser....
Maybe not according to the ATF, but trust me, they ARE firearms and should be treated as such whenever they are being handled.

Screw the ATF and check with your local police agency for concealed carry regulations.

Never, EVER forget safety practices when handling firearms.
if you get shot or shoot an animal or person with a black powder gun does death or serious injury occur ?

then DUH!! it is a firearm..conceal it and get caught = go to jail unless you have a permit whitch is dificult to get if you are not in law Enforcement.
