I'd pay attention to RDG and CIH..

gunbroker, cabelas, basspro, are the usual ones for me. sportsmanguide, jgsales, are next in line.

when you say OLD, that means collectible to me. Look at ProxyBid, sometimes you'll come across an auction of a Collector.

For the umpteenth Time CRAIGSLIST and EBAY WILL NOT ALLOW firearms transactions.. People need to read TOS statements on these two websites..Where can i find a 50 cal black powder rifles and hand guns on line?
You can start with www.dixiegunworks.com and www.logcabinshop.com. If you want to build one, take a look at www.muzzleloaderbuilderssupply.com or Jim Chambers Flintlocks. I do not have the website for Jim Chambers but you can google it. Another source is The Sitting Fox. Again, I don't have the website but you can google it. Tennessee Valley Muzzleloaders (TVM) offers both finished and kit guns. Of these, I think you will get your best price at

Sitting Fox. You can also look at www.muzzleloadingforum.com. They have a lot of used guns for sale as well as a lot of equipment. It is well worth a look. If you have never built a gun or do not have a good bit of experience in woodworking, you can forget buying a gun from TVM or Jim Chambers. The kits that they sell are not for beginners and require a good bit of wood working and gunsmithing skills. They can all be done with only hand tools but you have to have the skills. I have built a ';kit'; from both and I can tell you that even with the necessary skills, they will take you a month or more of steady work in your spare evenings to complete one. I have never built a ';kit'; from sitting fox so I don't know what level of skill they require. If you want to buy something ready built, start with Muzzleloading Forum and look for deals on ready made guns.
