Any good resources for learning about black powder weapons?

I'm thinking about getting a 50 cal and wanted to know more about black powder guns in general.Any good resources for learning about black powder weapons?
Try this following link. There you'll be able to watch videos on everything you need to know to get started. They will tell you about the various types, how to load them, clean them, etc. Certainly worth a look.

On internet check out; Henry Ball, 1990s first Smokeless and Black Powder Muzzleloader, which eventually would evolve to the Savage 10 ML 2 muzzleloader, barrel hardness of Rc 34, BH of 319, 156,000 PSI barrel pressure strength, Dan Pawlak and Michael Levenson, first patent July 25, 1975, for Pyrodex Powder, Dan later dies in a ';Blow Up'; in his Black Powder Shop 1977, CVA muzzleloaders, most popular muzzleloaders, barrel pressure strength of Rc 4, BH of 165, 81,000 barrel pressure strength, Thompson Center Arms (4140 rifle barrel) barrel pressure of Rc 18, BH of 214, 106,000 PSI barrel pressure strength, Henry Ball, Toby Bridges, and Ron Coburn first production muzzleloader for smokeless and black powder, Savage 10 ML II (2) muzzleloader.

All muzzleloader Companies build their muzzleloaders with varying barrel strength, read owners manual carefully, do not over load or over charge it, ONLY USE SMOKELESS POWDER IN A MUZZLELOADER THAT CAN HANDLE THE EXTRA BARREL PRESSURE- SUCH AS THE SAVAGE 10 ML II.

Peak Magnum Muzzleloader barrel pressure can be anywhere between 25,000 to 49,000 PSI with black powder, use Magnum loads/charges only in Magnum capable muzzleloaders.

Have someone with experience with muzzleloaders show you how to use it, clean it, inspect it and lube it.

Wear safety glasses and hearing protection.

There are Flintlocks, Caplock, Inline, Bolt Action and Break Open Muzzleloaders.

Black Belt or now known as Powerbelt Projectiles/bullets work great for modern muzzleloaders such as CVA.
if you DIY it yourself you'll learn lots very quickly. but check local laws first, I don't know if its legal to build a black powder rifle without any licenses of the sort.
