Try fireplace ash. If you really break it up it will act as a powder. If you use a slightly wet brush to apply the powder it will stick and last much longer. Be careful about using charcoal. The quick lighting kind has lighter fluid in it and that could be dangerous. How do i make a homemade black face powder?
get a bag of kingsford charcoal briquettes and scrape with a knife - charcoal has been used for a long time for halloween makeup or to give a dirty look to the face.... ALSO, if you look in the cosmetics dept at walgreens or your drugstore - you will find tons of black and gray eye shadows that will give you the same looks and affect - some may be flat while others may be metallic and it will cost under 5 bucks.
I haven't tried this before but you could try getting some black eyeshadow and crushing it up and mix it with the white pressed power to make it a bit lighter and to make more of it.
Burn some charcole. It may not be the best smelling but it would probably work. I dont know if that is what you mean by at home. but it would work if you had any in your garage or something.
I agree with everyone else. Just rub some charcoal on your face. Good luck.
charcoal?
I've burned the end of a wine bottle cork and rubbed it on my skin.
