Is possible detonate ammonium nitrate and aluminium using black powder like a blasting cap?

Yes although the ammonium nitrate must be confined and the aluminum powdered. And do not mix all of them together....doesnt do anything. mix Al with NH4NO3, then make a primary explosion with the black powder
